Sea Kings is a single-player naval arena where computer-controlled captains look for a clean cannon shot. Steering matters because a broadside is only useful when the target is inside its firing angle, while sailing in a straight line makes your own ship easier to read. The water also holds health pickups and XP crates, so the safest route is not always the route that builds the strongest ship.

Build around the fight that is happening now

Crates provide XP, and gaining enough XP lets you choose combat skills during the match. Accuracy helps make each volley more dependable. Recharge speed reduces the time before the next attack, range lets you threaten ships from farther away, and extra damage makes a successful hit more costly. These choices work together: range without accuracy can waste shots, while high damage is difficult to use if the cannons are rarely ready. Watch which opponent is controlling the arena and choose the skill that changes that matchup.

Permanent upgrades have a different job

Between battles, the ship can be developed through six upgrade tracks: Cannons, Health, Cnippel, Damage, Drop Mines, and Move Speed. A fragile setup may benefit more from Health than another offensive purchase. Move Speed helps control distance, while Cannons, Damage, and mines support different ways of finishing a fight. Treat these upgrades as a long-term plan rather than trying to improve every statistic evenly.

Make the captain and ship your own

The collection includes 11 captain appearances—the default captain and 10 unlockable alternatives—and six ship appearances, with one available from the start. They provide a visible sense of progression alongside the combat upgrades and make it easier to recognize your vessel when several ships meet in the same part of the arena.

Decisions that keep a voyage alive

  • Turn before firing so the target remains inside the cannon angle for the full volley.
  • Do not chase an XP crate through two enemy firing lanes when your health is already low.
  • Use a health pickup to reset a losing engagement instead of immediately returning to the same broadside.
  • Choose recharge or accuracy when missed opportunities are costing more than raw damage.
  • Leave room to turn after dropping a mine; the weapon is less useful if it traps your own route.

Winning is less about firing at the first ship you see and more about controlling distance, recovery, and the next upgrade choice. A captain who survives long enough to complete a coherent build becomes much harder to remove from the sea.
